The Performance Theatre advisory board goes from strength to strength
Lois Quam has become the latest addition to The Performance Theatre advisory board.
Lois is chief operating officer for The Nature Conservancy, a leading US conservation organisation working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people. She spent 17 years at UnitedHealth Group, primarily focused on serving elderly and low-income Americans, and eventually became president and CEO of the company’s $30 billion Public and Senior Markets Segment. In addition, she has served as executive director of the Global Health Initiative at the US State Department, reporting to Secretary Hillary Clinton, and then as special advisor to Secretary John Kerry with a focus on global health and public-private partnerships.
Lois has appeared three times on Fortune magazine’s list of the 50 most powerful women in American business and, joining hot on the heels of Jude Kelly CBE, is a valuable addition to the board as we begin to prepare for the 2016 theatre.
Commenting on Lois’s appointment, Performance Theatre founder Osvald Bjelland said: “There is a tremendous trust challenge in the world today and we, as leaders, must recognise that no one player can solve this problem alone. Lois’s experience working across business, government and civil society is invaluable to The Performance Theatre as we look to take action – now, together and out in the open.”
