Ryan is the founder of Virtualahan, the leading tech social enterprise in the Philippines that trains and employs people who experience employment discrimination because of a health condition, disability, or former life condition. Ryan was denied employment as a licensed medical lab scientist because of his medical diagnosis and this inspired him to start Virtualahan. Ryan is a Professional Fellow of the US State Department, the Global Good Fund, and The DO School. He has won multiple awards including the Google Business Stories Award, Asia-Pacific Future Maker, and Mindanao Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs Award. Ryan has spoken at the World Economic Forum, debated at the United Nations HQ, and has been featured in Bloomberg TV, CNN Philippines, Pioneer’s Post, Business Mirror, San Francisco Star, and other international media.
