This week, we arrive in Singapore for the latest staging of The Performance Theatre. Our actors, a group of 150 leaders drawn from across business, civil society and the arts, will discuss the leadership required to rebuild trust in open, global approaches to addressing complex problems such as climate change, inequality and the future of employment in the context of increasing automation.
Our theme, ‘Invisible Realities: Leading Through the Looking Glass’, aims to explore those human experiences that we struggle to recognise, though they exist alongside our own. Some of the highlights we look forward to in our programme, include:
- Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies, in conversation with Ajay Banga, President and CEO Mastercard
- Listening as art – a masterclass with Anna Deavere Smith
- The announcement of the Inspired Leadership Award Winner
- An interactive session with the Human Library, Singapore
Special thanks to our hosts, Dr Beh Swan Gin (Chairman, Singapore Economic Development Board), Goh Swee Chen (Chairman, Shell Companies in Singapore), and Pier Luigi Sigismondi (President, South-east Asia and Australasia, Unilever) for their vision and support in bringing The Performance Theatre to Singapore for the first time.
